We at MAM believe it is unacceptable that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. When a baby dies or is born too soon, it leaves their parents with so many questions and emotions. Sadly, many of these questions will go unanswered as medical science has not yet found out why some babies make it and some do not, why some babies are born early and why some make it to full term.
That's why we are supporting Tommy's, the baby charity. Tommy's exists to save babies lives. They run four internationally renowned medical research centres across the UK, each focusing on a specific cause of baby loss: premature birth, stillbirth, or miscarriage. Each centre carries out world-leading research as well as being home to specialised antenatal clinics that turn pioneering research into practical extra care that high-risk women need to keep their babies safe.
We are supporting Tommy's by launching a limited edition Rainbow Soother & Clip set, with 50p from every sale being donated to the charity. The rainbow symbol is important, because a rainbow baby is a baby that is born following a pregnancy loss.
Tommy's is a UK registered charity in England and Wales (1060508) and Scotland (SC039280).
